4H and TAMU Agrilife

Jana Barrett currently serves as an Extension Program Specialist for the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program with her primary role being coordinator of state level competitive events. She has served as the Coordinator of Texas 4-H Roundup since the September 1, 2015. Prior to this, she was a member of the Texas 4-H Foundation Staff focused on Alumni and Donor Relations from 2006 – 2015. Jana also serves as an advisor to the Texas 4-H Council.

Jana is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in AgriBusiness. She is a member of the Class of 1997. She is married to Brad, an Animal Science graduate of Texas A&M University. They own B&B Cattle Company in Normangee, TX. They have two sons, Nathan and Travis. Nathan is Class of 2024 at TAMU, majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Agricultural Economics with a Meat Certification and was a member of the 2022 National Champion Meat Judging Team. Travis is a Sophomore at Normangee HS where he is active in FFA, 4-H and rodeo.
