Dia de Los Muertos

Cesar Flores is a core member and a 40 years plus Veterano of El Teatro Campesino in San Juan Bautista. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University and an Emergency Teaching Credential from the State of California for K-12 and Special Education, and is a LULAC (League of United Latin American Citizens) member and officer.

Additionally, he founded and directed El Teatro Espiritu de Aztlan from 1972 to 1977 in Fullerton, Orange County, California. 

Other theatre companies he has worked with include:

  • Magic Theatre, San Francisco; His work included the role of the “Viejo” in the West Coast Premiere of Sam Shepherd’s Eyes for Consuela and understudy for Cheech Marin in The Late Henry Moss written and directed by Sam Shepherd.
  • Teatro Vision, San Jose; roles included "Willie” in The Last Angry Brown Hat, multiple roles in La Victima, and in the premiere staging of Spirit Dancing by Octavio Solis, “Camacho” in Santos y Santos,  “Don Francisco” in La Nona by Roberto Cossa, and “Vietnam Vet Uncle” in Hero.
  • The Western Stage in Salinas; one of the original cast members of the world premiere of the play Rain of Gold based on Victor Villaseñor’s book by the same name.

Other productions include A Mexican Christmas Carol, La Llorona, Anna in the Tropics, Let the Eagle Fly, and Sunsets and Margaritas.  Films to Mr. Flores’ credit include Cutting Horse, This So-Called Disaster and August Evening (Spanish/English).
