Dr. Theodore Andreadis, Chief Entemologist for the State of Connecticut, educated the club about the orignins of West Nile Virus in the US. His spoke about how the virus has spread across the country, the hotspots of infection, and the health hazards faced by the population. He ended his talk informing the club on the precautions we should take to prevent infection and what we can do if we do get infected.
Dr. Andreadis mentioned that his father was a Rotarian and we encouraged him to consider joining the Cheshire Club (his town of residence). He is pictured here with Past President Hope Looney.
