Building Responsible Youth Through Service in the community

Free Bikes 4 Kidz
Free Bikes 4 Kidz is a non-profit organization geared toward helping all kids ride into a happier, healthier childhood by providing bikes to those most in need. The public donates gently used bikes and we volunteer to clean and refurbish them, and then they give them away to kids in need.

Planting Trees
Rotary International Immediate Past President-elect Ian H.S. Riseley challenged every Rotary club to make a difference by planting a tree for each of its members. Trees remove carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from the air, which slows global warming.
“It is my hope that the result of that effort will be far greater than the environmental benefit that those 1.2 million new trees will bring,” Riseley said. “I believe the greater result will be a Rotary that recognizes our responsibility not only to the people on our planet, but to the planet itself.”
Minnetonka Rotarians took that challenge and joined Rotarians by planting trees behind the Minnetonka City Hall. The photo on the left is of the Rotary EcoClub tree planting day in Westwood Hills Park in St. Louis Park in September where one Minnetonka Rotarian participated.

Highway 7 Clean Up
Twice a year, Minnetonka Rotarians clean up a stretch of Highway 7 in Minnetonka. Cleaning the roadsides keeps roadsides beautiful, free of litter, saves taxpayers money, and helps the environment.

Resource West - Back to School
Through Resource West's Back-to-School program, K-12 students can receive a new backpack filled with basic, grade-specific school supplies. It is a great joy to watch the children pick out their new backpack and supplies. We love taking the time to pack school supplies! This year we packed over 400 bags of school supplies in two nights.
