Mentorship is key to retaining workers – and Rotarians
A new survey of U.S. workers shows that one-third have seriously considered quitting their jobs at some point during the last three months. One factor that made a significant difference in job satisfaction for the employee was having a mentor to turn to. ( watch WCCO TV segment. 7/25/19.)

Rotary membership is very similar. New members need helpful friends/sponsors/mentors  who explain everything from Areas of Focus to Rotary jargon. New leaders will learn more from an experienced member than a manual. Whether your club assigns mentors or just encourages these friendships, make sure someone reaches out to your new member.
