Beaumont Rotary to Give Coats from OPERATION WARM!
On January 13, the Rotary Club of Beaumont is joining with the South Park Neighborhood Association and the Beaumont Health Coalition to host "Winter Wonderland." As you see in the picture above, it will be an afternoon of fun for the children at Alice Keith Park in South Park. The Rotary Club of Beaumont, using disaster relief donations, is purchasing and will distribute new warm winter coats and jackets to children whose families were impacted by the Harvey disaster.
Lynn Hill will chair the project and is asking for volunteers who can help with setting up and preparing, and then with distributing the coats. Plan to work the morning to prepare, or the afternoon to hand-out the coats, or both. You can begin to sign up now by clicking on the image:

BECOME A PAUL HARRIS FELLOW OR A MULTIPLE PHF
Have you considered becoming a Paul Harris Fellow or perhaps adding another Paul Harris Fellow to those you have earned? A Paul Harris Fellow can be earned by a combined contribution of dollars and points totaling 1,000.
If you have ever given money or if money has been given in your name to The Rotary International Foundation, you have an account balance. If that balance reaches 1,000 through additional money or point contributions, you will become a Paul Harris Fellow or a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.
The Beaumont Rotary Club has points which the Board of Directors will consider using to match your contribution so that your balance plus additional contributions plus points equals 1,000. Call the Executive Director at 409-842-1913 to determine what additional contributions you must make by December 31, 2017, in order to take advantage of this offer.
All such donations are tax-deductible, but must be received by December 31 for 2017 taxes. (Please make note that December 31 is on Sunday.)

Rotarians were generous with the donation of gift cards and money to purchase more cards needed for the teachers and staff of Martin Elementary school.
Board Member Brenda Gray represented the Club and visited the school on Thursday, December 14, presenting the Principal, Dr. Tamara Long, with a basket full of gifts for the 68 employees. Of course, Dr. Long was extremely grateful and expressed an abundance of thanks. Later, this message was received on Facebook:
