On Wednesday, December 4, the Rotary Club of Beaumont will host its annual Vocational Excellence Awards, celebrating individuals who exemplify the "service above self" philosophy in their profession and daily lives. This special event allows us to recognize and applaud those who demonstrate outstanding dedication, integrity, and kindness in their work, making a positive impact on our community.

These prestigious awards are presented each year to community members known for their exceptional service and professionalism. Many past recipients have described the honor as "a treasure," "incredibly special," and "a unique recognition" in their career. If you visit local businesses, you may even spot a Vocational Excellence certificate proudly displayed as a reminder of their achievement.

We look forward to celebrating these remarkable individuals and their contributions to our community!

SALVATION ARMY RED KETTLE PROJECT

Many Rotarians will share their holiday cheer by showing up for the Red Kettle Bell Ringing at Parkdale Mall Saturday, December 7. Thank you to Paul Koester for chairing this project!

Every year, nearly 30 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army in the form of meals, shelter, after-school programs, job referrals, youth shelter intervention programs, rehabilitation services, and more. The gifts you help collect through the Red Kettle will enable these local Salvation Army programs and services to continue providing help and hope to those in need.

For a number of years, the Rotary Club of Beaumont has been one of the many organizations that tend a booth at Parkdale Mall and participate in the collection process. It is a demonstration of "Service Above Self."

There will be a list of shifts for Parkland mall food door, Main door and Dillards.
They just need to click on one of those shift, register and confirm.

Election for 2025-2028 Board of Directors and Board of Trustees

On Wednesday, December 11, the membership will elect four Rotarians to serve on the Club's Board of Directors and one new trustee for the Beaumont Rotary Foundation. The newly-elected will serve for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2025.

The Nominating Committee selected qualified candidates who will appear on the ballot. A sample ballot appears below and if you click on it, you can open a larger version that is more easily read. The ballot shows the nominees for the two Boards, and we will be voting on December 11.

You must be present at the meeting on December 11 either in person at the Elegante or using Zoom through which you will cast an electronic ballot.

As you consider your vote, please remember that according to the Club bylaws, a person must have been elected to a 3-year term on the Board of Directors to be selected to serve as Club President. Article 3, Section 4 reads: ".. the president-nominee shall have been a director elected by the membership at some time previous to his or her selection." In other words, you could be voting for a future club president!
