How lucky are we that the Rotary International Treasurer resides nearby in Texas and accepted our invitation to speak to the Club?

Ever wish YOU had the opportunity to ring the opening bell at the meeting?
For a donation of $25 to the Beaumont Rotary Foundation, you will be allowed to do just that. You will be called up to ring the bell to start the meeting.
When he rings the bell to conclude the meeting, President Chad Blanchard will match your donation with another $25 donation to the Beaumont Rotary Foundation!

The T. Kelsey Lamb Award for Business Ethics is presented annually to a Beaumont Rotarian who consistently exhibits the highest ethical standards represented by the Rotary Four-Way Test in his or her chosen vocation.
In 2013, this prestigious honor was given to Dr. Henry Venta, pictured center above, flanked on the left by Chairman Phil Dunlap, and on the right by the speaker, Dr. Bette Stead.
Our Club will award the coveted honor at the February 26th meeting, according to this year's chairman, Craig Escamilla.
The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, February 19th.
Get ready! It's almost time for our anticipated annual service project: layette assembly for women and children of Nicaragua. With combined financial support from a District 5910 grant and the Beaumont Rotary Foundation, we will assemble bags brimming with items that are critical to new mothers caring for their babies. Plan now to join in and enjoy the satisfaction of improving the lives of others.
Ask any student who has lived in another country for an entire school year, or ask any family that has hosted an international student for a few months about their experience. Without exception, they will describe it as life changing.
Rotary’s ideals include “the advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace” – and how better to accomplish that than by sharing your home with a student from another country for just a few months?
Twelve students from around the world are eagerly awaiting news as to whether they will get to spend the next school year in East or Southeast Texas (our Rotary district). In order to give them a chance, our club must find three families who are willing to let a student be a part of their family for three to four months during that time.
Read the testimonials of current and recent exchange students who have stayed in our district by clicking this link: SitePage/youth-exchange-program. Families who have hosted a student report that their own children were deeply enriched by the experience as well.
Would you consider hosting a student for a portion of the next school year? Do you have any ideas of other families that might consider it? We will schedule an informational meeting for anyone who would like to find out about the process as soon as potential hosts are identified. Email Jacque (admin@beaumontrotaryclub.org) or Becky Mason (beckylmason@mac.com) if you would like more information or know of other families who might be interested.
