Can You Stump Rotary?
President Vernon Pierce has a fun new way to increase the Foundation coffers, and you can take part too!  For a mere $20 donation to the Beaumont Rotary Foundation you can try your chance at being able to Stump Rotary!  It's good friendly fun and we all get to know a little more about one another.

It's $20 to play.  Send a photo of yourself from a few years back and some hints or clues that can be shared.

If no one in the room can identify you, you will stump Rotary.  The honor comes with a handsome certificate, complete with the President's signature!

If, however, the members can name who is in the photo, you will NOT stump Rotary.

The challenge is yours!

PROGRAM REVIEW
August 6, 2014
"The Key to Success"
Jack Gill
Venture Capitalist
by Rotarian

Vern staff and administration, need to be involved.

Superintendent Butler presented members with his 11 Beliefs of school district top performance and team work that he has worked with since a meeting in 1992 when he was a principal.
  1. Focus on academic success for every student; high goals that are known publicly; continuous monitoring; disaggregate student data
  2. No excuses!
  3. Experimentation is prevalent.
  4. Inclusivity
  5. Sense of family and respect for all parts of the team
  6. Collaboration and trust
  7. Passion for improvement ("If any child does not succeed, it should bother you!")
  8. Site based decisions and accountability for those decisions should be respected.
  9. Leadership will be based on commitment, not titles.
  10. Success does not depend on highly educated parents and students.
  11. The dream is credible and widely shared in the community.
He and his team are working diligently with the Board of Managers in order to give them the critical information needed to do their job in directing plans to refocus this District.   He is open to the community for information and suggestions.
