Beaumont Rotary to Give Coats from OPERATION WARM!
On January 13, the Rotary Club of Beaumont is joining with the South Park Neighborhood Association and the Beaumont Health Coalition to host "Winter Wonderland." As you see in the picture above, it will be an afternoon of fun for the children at Alice Keith Park in South Park. The Rotary Club of Beaumont, using disaster relief donations, is purchasing and will distribute new warm winter coats and jackets to children whose families were impacted by the Harvey disaster.
We will need volunteers who can help on this date, with setting up and preparing, and then with distributing the coats. Plan to work the morning to prepare, or the afternoon to hand-out the coats, or both. You can begin to sign up now by clicking on the image:

Have you considered becoming a Paul Harris Fellow or perhaps adding another Paul Harris Fellow to those you have earned? A Paul Harris Fellow can be earned by a combined contribution of dollars and points totaling 1,000.
If you have ever given money or if money has been given in your name to The Rotary International Foundation, you have an account balance. If that balance reaches 1,000 through additional money or point contributions, you will become a Paul Harris Fellow or a multiple Paul Harris Fellow.
The Beaumont Rotary Club has points which the Board of Directors will consider using to match your contribution so that your balance plus additional contributions plus points equals 1,000. Call the Executive Director at 409-842-1913 to determine what additional contributions you must make by December 31, 2017, in order to take advantage of this offer.
All such donations are tax-deductible, but must be received by December 31 for 2017 taxes. (Please make note that December 31 is on Sunday.)

A couple of weeks ago, someone left an umbrella in the Ballroom following the meeting, It still has the brand tag on it so it must be very new. Please call and claim it.
Also, a month or more ago, someone left car keys on the table. It has a key fob that does not identify the owner, but the make of car. Please check if they might belong to a guest you brought to the meeting with you.

"Holiday Fun"
2017 Holiday Party
The 2017 Rotary Holiday Party was a perfect celebration of the season with a large number of Rotarians, spouses, and friends enjoying the festivities! Everyone enjoyed the delicious food prepared by Chef Steve MaGaha, the beautiful ambiance complete with ice sculpture, and the truly enjoyable musical entertainment provided by both the Martin Elementary music & choir students and the very talented Paul Vick.
As is the Club's tradition, Holiday Party Chair and Past President Vernon Pierce announced the newly selected President-Nominee - Joe Domino! Joe received a rousing standing ovation and congratulatory handshakes.

On November 28, 2017, the Board of Directors approved a new Mission Statement for the Rotary Club of Beaumont as proposed by the Strategic Planning Committee.
