Meeting Notes November 14, 2012

Thanks to Bob for the news of our meeting this week..

Katie Evans, was a guest of Charlie and a potential new member.  She is a former Peace Corp volunteer in Africa.  Terri reported that the Project C.U.R.E. luncheon raised $2,025 in supplies and five 40' containers of medical equipment.

Please register for the District Conference before Dec 10 for a reduction in the cost.  It only takes $50.00 to register and it will be refunded in April if you are unable to attend.

Happy Bucks:  The recent storm gave Leif plenty of firewood.  Gil told us he was in Ghana in 2009.  Charlie spoke to the Wheat Ridge Rotary Club and rec'd support for the "ccok stove" project.  Charlene's daughter is now settled with an apartment in NYC after "Sandy"  and Charlene is still collecting coats to send to NYC for victims of the storm.  Mo & John were off to London for the weekend  to celebrate their anniversary.

Our Speaker was a "no show" because of a conflict - but Leif assured us she will be invited back.  As an inticement for our potential member,  Katie,  we shared desserts and chatted with each other.

I am Thankful for all the friends in our Club.    Happy Thanksgiving.
