Three Littleton Rotary Club members (plus two spouses and two friends) traveled to Pasadena, California, at the end of 2025 to decorate a Rotary float for the 137th annual Rose Bowl Parade, which was held on January 1, 2026. They were joined by 25 additional Rotarians from seven Colorado clubs.
The theme for the parade this year was “The Magic in Teamwork,” and the theme of the Rotary float theme was “Unite for Good.” The Rotary float featured African animals, including giraffes and tigers.
District Governor Cindy Rold, who was one of the Littleton Rotarians to help decorate the float, said it was completely paid for by donations, which covered the provision of 37,000 flowers.
The 2026 parade, which featured floats, marching bands and equestrian events, was dampened by rain for the first time in 20 years.
