Thanks to Littleton Rotary volunteers, 31 children in need received a $100.00 per child shopping spree at Kohl's on South Kipling. Our club was joined by 11 children selected and sponsored by the Highlands Ranch Satellite Rotary Club. Throughout the greater Denver area, four other Rotary Clubs at two other Kohls department stores combined to provide shopping sprees for an additional 92 children.

Thirty-four of our club members, friends, and family arrived at 6:45 AM to get their instructions as to how the morning would play out. The goal of each adult was to keep the children within the $100.00 shopping budget while enjoying their company. The parents were left at the store foyer, so our club members could really focus on their children, supporting their shopping decisions, and create a bond, albeit brief. All the children and their families were very grateful to receive such a helpful gift from Rotarians. The Centennial Academy Of Fine Arts (elementary school) liaison who gave us most of our child recommendations was on site and was thrilled and grateful to be a part our generosity.

With all the shopping that was had, we received $570.00 in Kohl's cash, that we paid forward to Love INC IMPACT. Families in desperate financial need will get to buy some much needed items for their own kiddos and household items for the home.

Littleton Rotary made some children and families' holiday season a little brighter this year.
