Littleton Rotary volunteers once again participated in the collecting and distributing the flower and plant arrangements left over at the conclusion of the Denver Garden & Home Show.
Known as Flower Power, the event requires volunteers to assemble at the Denver Convention Center late in the afternoon of the last day of the show to begin boxing all the flowers and storing them in semi-trailers for transport to the Meals on Wheels headquarters. The following day, volunteers arrive at Meals on Wheels to collect boxes and distribute them to area assisted living centers.
The smiles on the faces of the recipients are priceless. Our thanks to all the Rotary volunteers, their family members and friends who helped make this year’s event a total success.
