Dr. Lew Sterrett had little idea that his boyhood interest in horses would open doors internationally for speaking and training. As a student leader at Penn State University he benefited from many mentoring relationships, receiving valuable training, experience, and honors.  This foundation provided a basis for an extensive horse career with a unique emphasis on training youth and community leaders.

Locally, he leads the family-owned and operated Ransom Wind Ranch near Verden, a working ranch and training school where employees of all kinds of businesses and nonprofits learn leadership skills.

For more than 30 years Sterrett served as the executive director of Miracle Mountain Ranch Missions, Inc. a summer youth camp and college level leadership training center. He has also promoted safety in public riding programs, serving as President of the Certified Horsemanship Association for 7 years.  A licensed pastor, certified youth, marriage and family counselor, he earned his PhD in Leadership from North Tennessee Seminary in 2007.

In addition to a host of published resources and regular T.V. programs, Dr. Lew travels extensively presenting his horse training messages. He has received many prestigious national awards for his influence in leadership such as the, National Leadership Award from the National Republican Congressional Committee Business Advisory Council, the Markel Rhulen Safety Award, and the Moody Bible Institute’s Most Influential People.
