The December 6, 2018 meeting was called to order by Pres. John Gorton.  The prayer was provided by Rot. Tom Avant and the pledge by Rot. Tim Elliott.  Our talented music leader, Rot. Mitch Williams, lead the group in the song “Christmas Time is Here” made famous from the Peanuts group.  The Rotarian of the Day was Larry Brown who introduced Gena Conder, choir director with the Chickasha Middle School’s 7th and 8th grade choirs.  Catering was provided by Cotton Patch.

The CMS choir is comprised of 50 plus 7th and 8th graders. They meet daily in the afternoon during two separate hours, so it is exciting when they have performances, such as this, to be able to combine the two groups.   The students perform a variety of music and participate in concerts and contests, as well as local events.    The CMS choir is under the direction of Mrs. Gena Conder and assisted by Mr. Matthew Givens.
