New Rotarian Loraina Stephen also provided the club with her Classification Talk.

Loraina and her husband Don Stephen are no strangers to Rotary either.  Both have been active with the Nechako Rotary Exchange Program for some time.  Husband Don was selected as a student years ago and as such they were instrumental in convincing their daughter to apply for the program, and as a result is now our current outbound student in Chili.

Loraina leads a very busy lifestyle with the Classification of Tourism, which she and husband Don have earned by being Provincial Park Contractors since 1985 when the contracting out of these facilities first started.

As Quartz Contracting, they currently administer 10 Provincial Parks in the area, including Bear Lake, McLeod Lake, Tudiya and Carp lakes on Highway 97 north.  They also administer Beaumont Park on Fraser Lake and others in the area of Prince George.

Quartz Contracting employ about 20 people annually plus a number of temporary employees during the summer season to administer these parks.

As if that is not enough, Loraina also works for Northern Health as part of the Centre for Healthy Living, where she is focused on ensuring that people pay attention to their Dietary needs.
