Injured, but not out
Nechako Rotary Club Exchange Student Elyse Donck had a couple of unfortunate set-backs during the past weeks.
First, Elyse was riding in a car driven by a friend to UNBC when the car was in an accident and Elyse suffered some minor injures such as a sore shoulder and a bump or two.
To make matters worse, Elyse was participating in one of her sports activities, Soccer, at the UNBC Sports Complex and sustained a serious knee injury while scoring a goal. You can imagine that Elyse doesn't do anything half heartedly and the resultant injury has put her on crutches and pain medications for a period of time.
Elyse is getting medical attention from the local doctor, for the knee as well as advise from her father, whom also has a medical background as a Chiropractor. Elyse and all her friends are hopeful that the knee can be cured with the need of an operation.
We are sure that Elyse will be back in action as soon as possible, but knows full well that the healing will take some time and "TLC", or Tender Love and Care.
