City Transit System
Posted by Kenneth Pendergast
City Transit Analyst Daniel Pearce provided a very interesting presentation to the Nechako Rotary Club regarding the fleet of Transit Buses and Handi-Dart buses used to provide transportation for many of the residents of Prince George. The use of the City Transit System has doubled during the past 6 years with major traffic from UNBC to downtown area, the Spruceland route, Hart Highlands and College Heights. The city is trying some innovative ideas including tying bus fares to "Air Quality" and "Biking to Work" to encourage people to use the system more frequently.
Rotarian Kelly Zammit thanked Daniel for his presentation with a donation to our ShelterBox Canada Program.
