Rotarian Jim Dahl, from the Ketchican, Alaska Rotary Club, is making a 15 thousand mile tour on his motorcycle, from Ketichan to Florida and points between, hoping to meet with 100 or more smaller Rotary Clubs, along the way.
Jim's message to each of these Rotary Clubs, is some examples of the wonderful work being done through Rotary Volunteers with the support of funding received through grants from the Rotary Foundation.
Jim has been a Rotarian since 1985, when Rotary started the campaign to eradicate Polio from the World.  He has seen the huge amount of work being done for this task and the fact we are "This Close" to achieving our goal.
Jim was also a Group Study Team Leader, another program funded through the Rotary Foundation.
Jim indicated he was inspired to do something he could do for the Foundation.  Riding across North America to carry the message is his goal to fill that inspiration.
Rotarian Gary Gurnsey pledged $1000.00 to the Foundation in recognition of the Presentation and Jim Dahl's goal of raising $100 thousand dollars by getting each of the 100 Rotary Clubs to pledge $1000.00.
Thank you Gary Gurnsey, for your generosity to the Foundation.
PDG Ron Neukomm thanked Jim with another donation to our Polio Plus Program, and one of the coveted Nechako Rotary Club Banners.
