The Library Is Your People Place

Neil Godbout, Administrative Communications Coordinator for the Prince George Public Library provided some excellent information and background on the Library as both a "People Place" and a "Social Place." There are 50 thousand Library Card Holders in Prince George. Unlike library's of past decades, the Prince George Library provides a lot of entertainment to people through a variety of medium including books, films, videos, CD, DVDs, and magazines. The library also provides entry level computer training for people in need of basic computer skills. The library is also a major sponsor in the local Literacy Programs within the community, and Neil thanked Rotarians for assistance in that worthy program. Neil is not a stranger to Rotary given that he has been personally involved in the Rotary Group Study Exchange and has high regard for Rotary. Neil was thanked for his presentation by Rotarian Bill Bateman, with a donation to our Rotary Polio Plus Program.
