Davy Greenlees is a definite "Multi-task" person in the community of Prince George.
Davy is a "Special Constable" with the RCMP where he is involved in Community Policing activities and liaison with many of the other services where the police get involved, including the coordination with Youth Training for the RCMP and many other youth activities, such as Scouts Canada.
Davy has recently been given the Volunteer position of Area Commissioner for the Central Interior & Cariboo-Chilcotin with Scouts Canada.
In this capacity, Davy covers Scouting activities from Clinton north, as well as west to Prince Rupert and east to McBride.
Volunteering is becoming a much more complex role in Scouting, requiring potential volunteers to be trained and tested in skills and personalities prior to being permitted to work with the youth in Scouting activities.
One of Davy's goals is to assist with providing a more streamlined and accessible training opportunity for volunteers that want to get involved in the role of Scouting.
Davy is hopeful that Rotary will support him in his goals of providing the training to volunteers in our community, similar to the support we have provided in other ventures, including the RCMP Youth Leadership Program in Prince George.
Lisa Muller thanked Davy for his presentation with another donation to our Rotary Polio Plus Program.
