Rotary Hospice House

Diane Sears, from the Rotary Hospice House in Prince George did double duty today.

Diane came to the Nechako Rotary Club to sell some tickets for the Rotary Hospice House "Dream Home" worth $100 dollars apiece.  The "Dream Home"  is located at 7693 Stillwater Crescent and is valued at approximately $450 thousand dollars.  The Draw will take place on November 14th, 2013 at 8:00 PM.

Diane was also selling the Hospice House 50/50 Tickets being sold to raise funds for the Hospice "Grief Support Program."  That Draw will happen tomorrow, November 7th, 2013 at 8:00 PM.  The current cash price will likely be in the $60 thousand dollar range Diane said.

Diane took a few minutes to update Club Members on the Rotary Hospice House.

The "Hospice House" is a 10 bed facility that normally experiences between 65 to 70% occupancy throughout the year.  This year though, occupancy has been running at 75 to 80% and the reasons are not known for sure but it might be partially attributed to the additional services experienced through the new Cancer Clinic and Kordyban Lodge.

Rotary Hospice House is a great facility providing excellent service to people in and around Prince George community.  Everyone at some time seems to be touched with family and friends that have needed the additional care provided for loved ones during their final days. 

Hospice has the ability to provide that extra help where people can spend the time with their family and friends 24/7.
