Rotarian of The Year

President Gary Gurnsey was awarded Rotarian of the Year for his strong leadership in the Nechako Rotary Club through Operation Red Nose, International Festival, Shelter Box Canada in addition to his acceptance of the new role of Assistant District Governor commencing July 1st. Rotarian Kelly Zammit was also awarded Rotarian of the Year for her leadership in the 2008 Operation Red Nose and International Festival. Kelly assumed the position of Chair for both of these fund raising projects. Kelly has been a Rotarian with the Nechako Club for 6 years. Gary has been a Rotarian for the past two years, having returned to the Nechako Rotary Club when he returned to Prince George from Tumbler Ridge. Gary was a member of the Nechako Club for a number of years during the late 1980's and early 1990's, when he was also awarded a Rotarian of the Year for his distinguished service for the club.
