Poliomyelitis

Joan Toone is a victim of Poliomyelitis. Joan was paralyzed by polio in 1951. Both Joan and her husband Terry Toone attended the Foundation Dinner Saturday November 21st,in Prince George. Joan's purpose for her presentation at the Foundation Dinner was to teach people about the effects of Polio and the trauma of Post Polio Syndrome. Joan also wants to inform Rotarians about the huge value of the Polio Plus Program and how it relates to Post Polio. Joan was thanked for her presentation by Bob Campbell, President of the Downtown Rotary Club.
