PG Fitness Challenge

President of CNC and Yellowhead Rotarian John Bowman provided information to the Nechako Rotary Club regarding the "Prince GEorge Fitness Challenge 2010".
The "Prince George Fitness Challenge 2010" (PGFC 2010) is a joint project sponsored by the Yellowhead Rotary Club, College of New Caledonia, and Northern Health. The purposes of the PGFC
2010 are to:
• encourage Prince George residents to learn more about their personal health, dietary issues and physical fitness;
• motivate Prince George residents to begin a program of regular physical activity and healthy eating that will support their achievement of personal goals regarding physical fitness, body weight and general health;
• help build relationship connections and a community of support for individuals adopting healthy lifestyles and physical fitness activity; and,
• raise funds for worthy projects in the Prince George community (e.g. literacy, health and wellness,school-based nutrition, etc.)
Individuals and/or teams of four will register for participation in a sixteen-week program of health and fitness activities that they will select, plan and actively participate in between January 3, 2010 and April 24, 2010.
Participant will be provided with information and access to local health, physical fitness, dietary resources and other related expertise (e.g. from Northern Health, CNC, UNBC, local fitness clubs and other related service providers, etc.).
