Operation Red Nose

The Festive Season is fast approaching and your Operation Red Nose Committee is working behind the scenes to ensure the Nechako Rotary Club and all our faithful volunteers are signed up and ready to start providing our "Safe Ride Home Program" commencing on November 23rd and 24th.

How can you help, you ask?  Get your application completed and processed along with the compulsory "Criminal Record Check."  As host Rotarians, we must show strong leadership and be a good example to our volunteers.

The process is much easier this year with the electronic application on line.  All you need to do is to go into the website at www.ornpg.ca and place your Drivers License number and Birth date in the required document fields.  the form will automatically fill in the remaining necessary information.

You will check the data for accuracy, print and sign and initial many times as usual, we cannot make it too easy.  Then take the signed copy of the document along with your Drivers License to our friendly Community Policing Office on 6th and Brunswick for processing.

Don't forget to take your previous copy of Finger Prints, if you were one of the many that had to do that.

It is a much simpler, streamlined process.  Even I can do it, and now if necessary, many of us can help you, if required, so please ask if you need assistance.

The committee is also seeking sponsorships, both from our regular supporters, but always looking for new additional sponsorships.  So, if you can provide some assistance in getting information brochures and letters out to potential sponsors that you know or have connections with, your assistance would be most welcome.

This is our #1 Fund Raiser now Rotarians, as well as a huge contribution and commitment to our community.

Besides, it is a great cause with lots of fellowship and fun during the festive season.  What else would you do with your time anyway.
