The Nechako Rotary Club received an enthusiastic presentation regarding "Mens Health in the North" from Holly Christian, Regional Lead for Men's Health with Northern Health.
Northern Health has also created a Manual to Guide in "Men's Health Survival" plus a short computer Disc Program called "Where are the Men?"
Men in the North tend to live approximately 5 years less on average than women due to a number of reasons, including occupational hazards and risk, work environments, life styles and habits.
An awareness of some of these habits and risks is enlightening some men, but the trends are there as evidence that men need to pay more attention to their life styles and habits, along with their families and loved ones, to favorably effect and increase the health of me in the North.
Holly was thanked for her presentation to the Nechako Club by Rotarian Harold Spensley, with another donation to our Rotary Polio Plus Program.
