Local Liberal Candidates

Shirley Bond is no stranger to Prince George, or the Nechako Rotary Club.  Shirley is running for her 4th term in Prince George with the Liberal Party.

Shirley currently holds the Portfolio as the Attorney General and has held portfolios as Minister of Health and Minister of Highways.  Prior to entering the program as a Liberal candidate, Shirley was involved for many years in Prince George as a School Board Trustee and Chair.

Mike Morris is the new Liberal candidate replacing incumbent Pat Bell. 

Mike is a retired RCMP officer having worked in Prince George previously as Superintendent  of the Northern District.  Both of Mike's sons have followed in his footsteps and are currently members of the RCMP.

Mike is also a BC Trapper holding a trap line here in Northern BC.  Mike feels that the fur industry is one of the many resources that contribute to the BC Economy now and into the future.

Both Shirley and Mike expressed comments that the work of politicians is to ensure that our province manages our resources in a responsible manner to ensure we leave a legacy four our children and grand children.

Shirley made specific reference to the Rotary Four Way Test and how this test should be the basis of all decisions being made when considering the interests of the Province.
