Frauds, Scams and Computer Viruses

Special Constable Fred Greene, with the RCMP Community Policing Office, spoke to the Nechako Rotary Club members providing an update on the latest numbers, issues and concerns regarding Frauds, Scams and Computer Viruses facing our population today.
Fred spoke to the Nechako Rotary Club approximately 3 years ago and todays talk and slides were focused primarily on the issues around cell phones, computers and Scammers using our home phones, and accessing our Charge Cards, Debit Cards.
The Fraud business is literally HUGE and each and every person using technology such as phones, cell phones, computers, bank machines etc. is constantly at risk of their personal financial and personal information being compromised.
Fred used some very detailed slides to bring home his messages. Some of these slides will be included in our Club Runner Stories for members to read in more detail.
Fred was thanked for his presentation by Rotarian and Past President Alain LeFebvre, with another donation to our Polio Plus Program.
