Rotarian Dr. William Osei introduced Brenda Matsen, Program Manager of the Northern Interior Dental Health Program, to provide a a detailed presentation on the use and benefits of Fluoridation both in Dentistry and in treatment of our drinking water. Water Fluoridation has been stated as "one of the 10 greatest public health achievements of the 20th century." It is further stated that Fluoridation has been helpful in improving the health of over 10 million Canadians and 184 million Americans. Fluoridation is a regular water treatment in 4% of BC Communities including Fort St John, Prince George, Prince Rupert, Terrace, Cranbrook, Lake Cowichan, Sparwood and Williams Lake, Rotarian Leona Anderson thanked Brenda for her presentation with a donation to our Shelter Box Canada Program.
