2013-14 District Governor Garry Shearer attended the regular morning breakfast meeting of the Nechako Rotary Club this morning, and provided the Club with an interesting presentation on the three priorities established from our RI President.

The three priorities are 1) Membership; 2) Foundation and 3) District Convention in May 23 to 27th, 2014 in Squamish, BC.

The Nechako Club received full marks for our cross section of ages and gender in our Club membership, and encouraged to work toward membership growth.

The Nechako Club continues to have regular donations to the Foundation and are encouraged to increase this donation by the examples of both the District Governor and our Club President Brian Pearson.  The goal is to have all Rotarians make a "pledge they can afford" to the Rotary Foundation.  "Every Rotarian, Every Year."

All Rotarians are invited and encouraged to come on down to the annual District Convention, which is being hosted this Rotary Year in Squamish, BC.  They have an action packed program with great speakers and entertainment.

Each Club is encouraged to bring a Rotaract and Interact Student, or a student that would qualify for either classification, to the convention, where they will be provided accommodation and meals at the new University of Squamish facilities, compliments of the convention.  An agenda is planned for all students during the convention, including all the Rotary Exchange Students.

President Brian Pearson thanked DG Shearer for his presentation with a real wooden copy of the "Mr. PG" unique to Prince George.

Thank you DAG Garry Shearer for your presentation.  A follow-up meeting with the Club Executive followed the regular meeting, enabling the Club to better inform DG Shearer of the Club activities and goals for the year.
