District Assembly and Rotary Foundation Future Vision Plan

Rotarians Gary Gurnsey, Bob Guy, Andrea Johnson, and Kelly Zammit attended the "District 5040 Assembly" in Quesnel on April 10th, 2010. On April 11th, these Rotarians and President Ken Pendergast also attended the required "Rotary Foundation Future Vision Plan Workshop in Quesnel, as part of the District 5040 "Pilot" for the Rotary Foundation. Each Rotary Club in District 5040 must have at least two Rotarians participate in these workshops to qualify for application of either District or Global Grants during the next 3 years of the pilot program. Nechako Rotarians each received a substantial amount of background literature to read and digest, in addition to the workshop exercises in preparation for the programs. This information will be shared with the club during the next few weeks as part of the clubs preparation for any planned applications for funding through the Rotary Foundation. The District Assembly and Foundation Future Vision Workshop were hosted by the Quesnel Rotary Clubs and District Governor Elect Penny Offer and PDG Kevin Conway. Both programs were well attended and successful in the spirit of Rotary.
