District 5040 District Governor Visit

The Nechako Rotary Club had the pleasure of DG Rebecca McPherson's annual Club Visit this morning.
Rebecca is starting her round of Club visitations, with a 5:30 am start to make our breakfast meeting.
Rebecca jokingly commented that it is hard to believe that she is going to have to do this for the next year, but she is definitely up for the challenge.
Rebecca has been a Rotarian since 2000 and a member of the Quesnel Rotary Club.
Rebecca identified with some of the District 5040 Goals during her year and the fact that this Rotary year the the District Convention will be hosted in Quesnel, with Striking Gold in Quesnel, and that there will be a solid weekend of Rotary Business, wrapped around a full agenda of fun for Rotarians.
The weekend will include a Fishing Derby on Dragon Lake and Gold Panning for those that want to Strike it Rich in the Gold Fields.
Rebecca encourages all Rotarians to register and get involved in this Annual Convention, and invites all Rotarians to join her in attending the Rotary International Convention.

PDG Ron Neukomm thanked Rebecca for her presentation, providing a gift from local author Jack Boudreau with some of his many short stories of the Prince George area.
