David Douglas Botanical Garden Society

Corine Gibson, Jackie Pement and Birthe Miller, representing the David Douglas Botanical Garden Society were the presenters of an interesting and colorful slide presentation of their Society.
The DDBGS has been in existence since 1991, when the University of Northern BC was recently completed and had almost nothing for exterior decoration and beautification.
The Society boasts approximately 200 members, with a "Master Gardener" Diploma as one of the challenges offered to those people that fancy themselves with a "Green Thumb".
The Society is a non profit, registered charity Society, with the goal of providing for the beautification of the grounds and environment around UNBC with both native and imported plants, vegetation and development for Prince George and the University to be proud of.
Thank you DG Lorne Calder for thanking our speakers from the DDBGS, which we will make another pledge to our Polio Plus Program.
