Choose Your Ride

The official "Kick-Off" ceremony for the Operation Red Nose Program in Prince George for the 2012 Operating Season, was conducted this year with the Theme, "Choose Your Ride."

The Kick-Off was implemented with the cooperation of the Prince George City Bus company, the Funeral Chapel, the RCMP, the Prince George Taxi company and a host of people including Diana Pozer from ICBC, the media in Prince George, and of course the Nechako Rotary Club as Operation Red Nose Sponsors.

This Theme has been used before, in previous years of the program, and is very appropriate for the occasion.  The program is all about citizens making the conscious choice of how they will get home following an evening of celebrating the festive season.

Luke Zammit volunteered to be our citizen that required making the choice.  Luke physically went to each of the venues, including the City Bus, the Hearse, the RCMP van and the taxi before selecting the Safe Ride Home offered by an Operation Red Nose Team of volunteers.
