2013 Artistic Gymnastics BC

Collen Van Mook, Director of Community Services for Prince George, provided the Nechako Rotary Club with a short Video and background on the 2013 Artistic Gymnastics BC Championships being hosted in Prince George, April 5th to 7th, 2013.

Colleen is functioning as a Volunteer for the 2013 Artistic Gymnastics BC Championship, and was a lead person for the City during the 2015 Canada Winter Games Bid Committee.

The Gymnastics Events will be held at the Northern Sports Centre at UNBC and will be used as a "Test Event" for this facility in preparation for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.

There are 75 Gymnastics Clubs in British Columbia and Prince George will be hosting approximately 500 young male and female gymnasts during this 3 day event.  The athletes will be accompanied by both family members, coaches and chaperone's during the event, helping to raise the awareness and economic benefits to Prince George. 

Rotarian Harold Spensley thanked Colleen for her presentation and presented Colleen with a cheque for $750.00 from the Nechako Rotary Club for funding of equipment toward the 2013 Artistic Gymnastics BC event.
