2012 REMAX Senior Men's Baseball Championships

Rotarian Jim Swanson and Shawn Rice provided the Club with a holistic presentation of the World Baseball Challenge in Prince George since it was first presented in 2002.
Nechako Rotary have been involved in the event during the past two seasons, 2009 and 2011 as Sponsors of the Kids Training Camp events. Shawn mentioned that this sponsorship was a very important aspect of this Kids Camp, to ensure it was part of the program, and extremely well received by the kids. Many have gone on since to participate in baseball leagues.
This year, thanks to REMAX major sponsorship, Prince George is hosting the 2012 REMAX Senior Men's Baseball Championships. The second time this event has been hosted in Prince George.
This event is looking for sponsorship of $1500.00 from the Nechako Club to assist with either handi-capped children being able to attend these games, or similar types of sponsorship.
Jim and Shawn were encouraged to get a letter of request into the Club for consideration, ASAP.
Past President, Larry Parker has been a participant with this group as early as the 2002 Baseball Challenge, and thanked both Jim and Shawn for their dedication to baseball and leadership in this event during these years.
Nechako Club will make another contribution to our Polio Plus Program in recognition of both Jim and Shawn's presentation.
