Bill R. led us in the pledge of allegiance followed by Karen leading us in God Bless America.  Darrell led us in prayer.

 

Guests: Eric Roseen, Sam Swisher (representing Bandey Hefler Friendship Exchange), Jenna Steiner from Rotary Foundation.

 

George led us in the Welcome Song.

 

Happy $$$: Rich happy for the upcoming Reality Fair.  Karen happy for a great vacation in FL and a great PETS weekend.  Rick, Doug, Rachel, Glen and Tom happy to be here.  Charles happy for our guests.  Scott happy that his best friend (his wife Cathy) is having a birthday.  Darrell happy for Red Sox.  Greg happy St. Patrick’s Day!  George and Erica happy for great weather.  Bob happy for good vacation in CA.  Ted welcomes Jenna from Rotary Foundation.  Ken happy to see Jenna and Sam.  Melissa happy her parents are coming to visit.  Ryan welcomes our guests.

 

50/50:  Pot $370.  Sam drew 150, Gary’s number, but alas, Gary drew the Ace of Hearts and not the Ace of Spades.  : (

Humor:  Tom told a great joke about a Mommy, the Marine Pilot!  Bill R. had a great joke about the town’s most successful lawyer.

 

Birthdays:  Ryan and Tom celebrated birthdays today.  George led us in Happy Birthday.

 

Announcements:

  •  Next Tuesday, March 20th, we will be delivering spring flowers to our assisted living communities.  We will meet at Wingate at noon for lunch and finalize delivery routes.  Spring like weather is guaranteed.
  • Meeting with Newton Rotary cancelled next week.  We will have our regularly scheduled lunch on the 27th.
  • Charles gave a brief PETs update.
  • Ted gave us an update on Tippett House.
  • Bill R. spoke about his idea for 50/50.
  • GSE hosting for next month.  The team is from India.
  • April 4th, Needham Education Foundation’s annual spelling bee.  Needham Rotary will be represented by Gary, Glen & Bill R.

 

Speaker:  We had two speakers today, Jenna Steiner from the Rotary Foundation and Sam Swisher representing the Bandey Hefler Exchange.
