Our own Club Member Gino Fratallone spoke about being named ActonTV’s Member of the Year . It all started three years ago when Gino was visiting in Arizona.
He talked with a Mexican woman, who thought Gino was a Colonel with all of his Rotary pins, and asked whether Rotary could provide financial assistance to feed 78 people in need. Reaching that goal to provide food for two years would require raising $6,500. Gino considered how to do this and used his voice to start fundraising. Literally. With the help of his friends at local TV programs in Acton, Westford and Littleton, Gino recorded 150 songs, which are now available on CD’s, and he’s been selling the CD’s, so far raising $2,600 toward the goal! ActonTV recognized Gino for his work raising funds for Arizona’s needy. Congratulations Gino!
