Please join the Franklin Rotary Club on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Pour Ricard's Wine and Spirts from 6:00 - 800 PM for Old World Wines  vs.  New World Wines, a comparison of European and U.S. wines. A donation of $15 ($20 at the door) provides wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, and snacks.

All the proceeds raised will go directly to the community served by the Franklin Rotary Club:

  • The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Program.  Rotary Clubs from around the world, including the Franklin Rotary Club, participate in this leadership program geared towards developing young adults into leaders. Each year, thousands of young people participate in this program. Young people ages 13–30 are sponsored by Rotary Clubs to attend the event run by the club's district committee
  • Grants to high school seniors
  • Community Outreach and support programs

The 3rd Annual Car Show sponsored by the Franklin Rotary Club and Dean College is scheduled for Sunday, September 15, 2019, from 10 AM to 3 PM. The show is located at the Dean College Campus Center main parking lot at 109 West Central Street in Franklin.
 
The Franklin Rotary Club and Dean College Car Show invites vehicles in the following categories to participate: Antique. Custom, Classic, Street Rod, Motorcycles, Muscle, and Electric Cars. Registration is $15 per vehicle, and attendance is free for spectators. Trophies will be presented to category winners, and food and raffle prize opportunites will be available.
 
All the proceeds raised will go directly to the community served by the Franklin Rotary Club:

Volunteers wanted! Please join the Franklin Rotary Club as we partner with the Franklin Food Pantry on a community service project to supply cleaning supplies to members of our community who are in need. One of the biggest needs for families that the Food Pantry serves is access to cleaning supplies, as food stamps do not cover the costs of these items.  The Franklin Rotary Club needs help assembling buckets of cleaning supplies the Food Pantry can distribute to families to take home with them.

  • Volunteers arrive at the Franklin Food Pantry, 43 West Central Street, at 5:00 PM.
  • Following the project, please us at Incontro Restaurant at 860 West Central Street for pizza and beverages.
  • Email Scott Martin at scottm@hockymca.org if you can participate, or interested in learning more about the Franklin Rotary Club's community service projects.
The Franklin Rotary Club is honoring longtime club member John Padula at sold-out special evening at Incontro Restaurant on Thursday, October 18 at 6:00 PM. John Padula has been an active member of the Franklin Rotary Club for 50+ years. He has successuly run the club's fundraising activities (mainly the Home and Trade Show that filled the then new Franklin High School Fieldhouse), and has run the club's longest running service project, the Franklin Seniors Pasta Supper, now in its 27th year. 

John, shown in Jimmy Durante garb singing songs at the Pasta Supper, will receive honors from the Rotary Club, the Town of Franklin, and the State of Massachusetts in appreciation of his public spirit and contributions to the Franklin community.
 
The Franklin Rotary Club will be partnering with Dean College to host their second Annual Car Show for Charity and Community Service on Sunday, September 16th 2018. Antique, Custom, Classic, Street Rod, Muscle Cars, Electric Cars and Motorcycles are welcome!

The Franklin Rotary Club is proud to announce that Dan Gentile, a Franklin resident and Vice President Equipment Repair at Liberty Mutual, has been inducted as the 88th President of the Franklin Rotary Club. Rotarians and members of the Gentile family were on hand for Dan's induction on June 21, 2018 as Past President Scott Martin handed over the gavel.
The Franklin Rotary Club hosted its 27th Annual Pasta Supper on June 14th at the Franklin Housing Authority's community center. Over 100 seniors enjoyed a delicious homemade meal of pasta, meatballs, bread and salads. Entertaining was provided by the Padula Brothers Band. Thank you to all our attendees and volunteers!
The Franklin Rotary Club invites the community to join us at 9:00 AM on Saturday, February 10th for a Valentine's Breakfast at the Franklin Housing Authority. Featuring a warm breakfast, hot coffee, fruit, music and some special Valentine's Day surprises. The Franklin Housing Authority's Large Community Hall at 1000 Central Park Terrace is where the event is located. Call the Franklin Housing Authority at 508-528-2220 to sign up. Please register by Monday, February 5th.

The Franklin Rotary Club is pleased to support the Franklin  Food Pantry during the Thanksgiving holiday season. The Franklin Food Pantry was in need of turkeys for the families they serve. The Food Pantry was also in need of a storage freezer rental to safel;y store the turkeys until they could be picked up by local families. 
 
The Franklin Rotary Club stepped in to donate 50 turkeys as well as secured the freezer rental that the Food Pantry needed. The Franklin Rotary Club, in partnership with Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, held its Chalkfest for Charity event on Sunday, October 22nd to raise money for local service projects supported by the Club. Shoppers at Wrentham Village Premium Outlets voted for their favorite work of chalk art. Kerry St. Claire was the winner of the People's Choice Award in the Adult category for her Game of Thrones inspired "Khaleesi" drawing.  Emily Bourbeau was the winner of the People's Choice Award in the Student category.

Chalkfest for Charity is the coming together of art, charity and community! Local artists will be creating masterpieces on the sidewalks of Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, which will be sponsored by local businesses, organizations or individuals. All of the proceeds raised at this event will be donated to the Franklin Rotary Club. The event is scheduled for October 22 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
The Rotary Club of Franklin is pleased to award three area high school seniors with a grant to support them as they transition to college. This year applications were received from Bellingham High School, Franklin High School, King Phillip High School, Medway High School and Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School.
 
The grants have been awarded to students who demonstrated financial need, a commitment to community service, and academic excellence.
 
Three students, all from Bellingham High School, were selected as the 2017 recipients of the Franklin Rotary Club grants. Congratulations to Bailey James, Meghan Harrington and Erin Umlauf. Our Rotary Club recognizes their achievements and wishes them continued success in college.
