The Franklin Rotary Club is pleased to support the Franklin  Food Pantry during the Thanksgiving holiday season. The Franklin Food Pantry was in need of turkeys for the families they serve. The Food Pantry was also in need of a storage freezer rental to safel;y store the turkeys until they could be picked up by local families. 
 
The Franklin Rotary Club stepped in to donate 50 turkeys as well as secured the freezer rental that the Food Pantry needed. The Franklin Rotary Club, in partnership with Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, held its Chalkfest for Charity event on Sunday, October 22nd to raise money for local service projects supported by the Club. Shoppers at Wrentham Village Premium Outlets voted for their favorite work of chalk art. Kerry St. Claire was the winner of the People's Choice Award in the Adult category for her Game of Thrones inspired "Khaleesi" drawing.  Emily Bourbeau was the winner of the People's Choice Award in the Student category.

Chalkfest for Charity is the coming together of art, charity and community! Local artists will be creating masterpieces on the sidewalks of Wrentham Village Premium Outlets, which will be sponsored by local businesses, organizations or individuals. All of the proceeds raised at this event will be donated to the Franklin Rotary Club. The event is scheduled for October 22 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
The Rotary Club of Franklin is pleased to award three area high school seniors with a grant to support them as they transition to college. This year applications were received from Bellingham High School, Franklin High School, King Phillip High School, Medway High School and Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical School.
 
The grants have been awarded to students who demonstrated financial need, a commitment to community service, and academic excellence.
 
Three students, all from Bellingham High School, were selected as the 2017 recipients of the Franklin Rotary Club grants. Congratulations to Bailey James, Meghan Harrington and Erin Umlauf. Our Rotary Club recognizes their achievements and wishes them continued success in college.
 

The Franklin Rotary Club and Dean College will be hosting their first Annual Car Show for Charity and Community on Sunday, September 17th.

  • $15.00 per car entry
  • Show: 11:00 – 4:00p.m. at Dean College Campus Center, located at 109 West Street, Franklin, MA
  • Judging at 3:00p.m.
  • Trophies awarded for specified classes

The Franklin Rotary Club International will host its 26th annual Pasta Supper at 5 p.m. June 15 at Central Park Terrace Hall, 1000 Central Park Terrace. ′

All senior citizens are welcome to attend this free event. Seniors will not only enjoy a meal, they will also view a performance by entertainer and Franklin native Tony Dale, who is back again this year from his engagements in Florida. Dale has also performed at locations in California and Cape Cod.

Seniors are urged to enter their names on a sign-up sheet so that no one is left out. Sheets can be found at the following locations:

— Central Park Terrace, 1000 Central Park Terrace.

— Franklin Senior Center, 10 Daniel McCahill St.

— Eaton Place, 20 Veterans Memorial Drive.

Wrentham Village Premium Outlets will be hosting their first annual Chalkfest for Charity on Saturday, October 15th, 2016 (rain date of Saturday October 22). This event is being held in partnership with the Frankly Rotary Club, who will use the proceeds raised at this event to help the Franklin Rotary and associated charities and projects throughout the year.
