  • Lou Angelo, Principal of Upper St. Clair High School, was inducted into the Rotary Club of Bethel-St. Clair as an Associate Member under the Corporate Membership of the Upper St. Clair School District

  • Speaker – Jenn Salmans – Development Director – Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh
  • Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh is a 501c3 non-profit in Pittsburgh which provides low-income homeowners with critical home repairs, accessibility modifications and energy efficient upgrades.
  • Programs stem from four business lines: Core Repair, Rehab for Resale, and Safe & Healthy Homes
  • Over 800 volunteers help over 100 homeowners per year who are eligible for assistance.
  • Eligibility includes over 3 years of home ownership, current on mortgage and utility payments, owners are either over 65 years old, veterans and/or disabled.
  • Core home repair focuses on 3 “Impact Neighborhoods” – Hazelwood, Homewood, and the Hill District
  • Vacant & dilapidated properties are rehabilitated to make for affordable housing
  • Provide health & safety improvements to vulnerable homeowners. There is a focus on improving indoor air quality and remedying issues that negatively impact health and safety.
  • Rotarians have volunteered services to Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh for the past 20 years.
  • National Rebuilding Day this year will be held on the last Saturday in April. More than 33,000 volunteers will serve in nearly 1500 affiliated rebuild projects throughout the country
  • Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh looks forward to having Rotarians continue their volunteerism to help homeowners in need in Allegheny County.
