Tunxis Tattler – Special Edition
Farmington Rotary held is Harvest Food Drive this past Saturday, October 26th, at the Unionville Stop & Shop. What a success!! We collected $554.46 in cash donations, along with 819.35 lbs. of food!
A HUGE THANK YOU to our 8 club volunteers who came out on a Saturday to support our club and community, as well as a HUGE THANK YOU to those members who contributed with financial donations. Again, without your support events like these are not possible.
A special thank you to Brendan Goodrich and Ashlee Shilosky (our newest member) for volunteering for the entire day. Thank you to Mary Lou, Brendan and Mike Cheshire for setting up. Thank you to Dave Barrett, Bob Festa and Jenn Diederich for volunteering their hours, as well as to Dena Martinelli and Paul Gosselin (non-Rotarians) for their time as well! We also had a few kids from the Farmington High School Interact club show up to support our event.
The club will be planning another food drive in early June of 2020.
