January 7, 2020 Meeting -
- The club offered heartfelt well wishes to Bill Neagus on his retirement. Bill enjoyed a “Gone Fishing” cake in his honor, a card, and lots of hugs & handshakes. Best wishes Bill!!
- Josh Zelem was our 8th new member to be inducted to our club during the 2019-2020 Rotary year. Josh owns the local State Farm Agency in Farmington, and he was sponsored by Dena Martinelli. Way to go Dena for sponsoring a new member as a new member!! Welcome to the club Josh!
- “5 Minutes of Fame” - Dena Martinelli and Ashley Shilosky shared their story regarding careers, family and hobbies.
January 14, 2020 Meeting –
- Our guest speaker was Jack Horak from Tango (The Alliance for Non-Profit Growth & Opportunity). Jack explained that Tango creates partnerships between non-profit and for-profit organization to drive innovation, create cost savings, and deliver mission advancement. January 21, 2020 Meeting –

January 28, 2020 – Joint committee meeting/assembly –
- Dena brought a special guest and visiting Rotarian, Gary Roman – President of Collinsville Bank.
- Elizabeth shared information on Ion Bank’s Community Awards Program. Customers of Ion Bank can visit our website and vote for the Farmington Rotary Foundation. Each vote will generate $25.00 to benefit our Foundation. Please go to Ion Bank’s website: beginning February 1st to vote – www.ionbank.com
- Elizabeth announced the 2020-2021 slate of officers and board for our club:

- Dine-n-Dance update – Jody Viola updated the club on our progress so far with the dance to be held on March 14th at Farmington Gardens. Thank you to Ion Bank, Collinsville Bank, Thomaston Bank, Compassion Dental, and Gustin Real Estate Co. for pledging sponsorships so far. As 3/14 is fast approaching, Jody encouraged all members to support this event to make it a huge success again this year. She also asked that each member commit to selling 4 tickets, as well as secure one sponsorship per member as well. We’re in need of auction items for the event! We received our first item donated by Steve & Jody Viola…” A Day at Saratoga Racetrack”! Thank you, Steve & Jody, for your support!! Tickets will be available for distribution at next Tuesday’s meeting. If you are unable to be at our meeting next week, we’ll make arrangements to get the tickets to you.
