Warren Wenner, CNP Director, Meals on Wheels

Warren Wenner serves as the Director for Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston, Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston. It is the largest Meals on Wheels in Texas and one of the ten largest Meals on Wheels in America. There are 5,000 Meals on Wheels across the USA. He leads a staff of 95 employees with 4,000 volunteers. He manages a budget of over 8 million dollars. Last year IM’s Meals on Wheels served over 1.5 million meals. He is a retired Scout Executive with the Boy Scouts of America with 34 years of service serving both in six local councils and on the national staff. Warren has been a member of Rotary for over 24 years. Warren serves on the board of the Rotary Club of Houston. He is a past President of the Moorhead MN Club and was President Elect of both the St Louis Park MN and St Clair County West IL clubs. As a volunteer Warren serves on two National Boy Scouts of America Committees, the National Camping Task Force and the National Disabilities Awareness Task Force. In Texas he serves as Chair of Camp Assessments Committee for the Boy Scouts of America. This committee reviews and visits health, safety and programs of all scout camps in TX. He is a Red Cross Volunteer. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Missouri Valley College with a major in human relations and double minors in sociology and speech & drama. Warren is certified in nonprofit management from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance. He has been married to Linda Wenner for 36 years and has one son, Jason who is also an Eagle Scout.

Ali Al Sudani Director of Refugee Services at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston

Ali Al Sudani was born and raised in Missan, Iraq and was resettled in Houston, TX as a refugee by Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston in April 2009. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Basrah University, Iraq. In 2003 he started working with the American and coalition forces as a Chief Translator in his home city. During this time, the Iraqi militia and nationalist groups began persecuting middle-class individuals who were helping coalition forces and Ali had to leave Iraq to Jordan. Ali joined IM as a Reception and Placement Case Worker in June 2009. Mr. Al Sudani has more than nine years of experience in Nonprofit Management and providing training for Iraqi NGOS, Civic Leaders and elected officials. Prior to joining IM, he was Senior Program Coordinator with “People In Need”, a Czech based non-governmental organization. He became a Certified Trainer in Capacity Building with the Czech Fundraising Center and administered several medical and Capacity Building funded projects in Iraq for the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Endowment for Democracy (NED) and United Nations Democracy Funds (UNDEF) Ali Al Sudani is the Director of Refugee Services at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston (IM) since May 2010.
