We will once again have a split program with the Head of AFYA Foundation Danielle Butin (pertaining to our raised funds for Health Workers). https://afyafoundation.org/. We as the Rotary Club of New York have collaborated with them on prior disaster relief work.

Danielle Butin, the founder of Afya Foundation, will be the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of NY’s Zoom video meeting.  Many of you know Danielle and Afya for their work rescuing surplus medical supplies and delivering them to underserved communities around the world.  Danielle partnered with our District to provide medical supplies to Rotary Clubs in Puerto Rico after hurricane Maria, and Afya has provided essential supplies during the refugee crisis in Lesvos, Greece and sent 3 million pounds of emergency supplies to Haiti, Japan, Pakistan, Greece, Syria, and Puerto Rico after severe natural disasters.

After years of supporting underserved communities and providing disaster relief throughout the world, Afya is mobilizing to deliver vital supplies to hospitals and federally qualified health centers in New York supporting healthcare workers on the front line during the current crisis. They have delivered personal protective equipment (PPE) and vitally needed supplies to:

Hospitals
