SOUTH TYLER ROTARIANS ARE
PEOPLE OF ACTION!
LET'S

Monday, we will award grants to fourteen organizations and learn how each will thoughtfully and strategically utilize these funds throughout the year. These grants reflect our commitment to responsible stewardship and meaningful community impact. We look forward to seeing the lives touched and the good accomplished through these partnerships.

January Is Rotary Vocational Awareness Month

Each January, Rotary observes Vocational Awareness Month, shining a light on Vocational Service, one of Rotary’s five Avenues of Service. This focus reminds us that Rotary’s impact extends far beyond our meetings and service projects—it lives in the work we do every day.

At its core, Vocational Awareness Month emphasizes that “Service Above Self” is not limited to Rotary activities. It is a guiding principle for how Rotarians conduct themselves in their professions and businesses. By modeling integrity, fairness, and respect, we demonstrate Rotary values in action.

A key foundation of vocational service is the promotion of high ethical standards, guided by The Four-Way Test. Rotarians are encouraged to lead by example, making ethical decisions that build trust and strengthen our communities.

Rotary also celebrates the worthiness of all useful occupations. Every profession has value, and each Rotarian brings unique skills, experience, and expertise that can be used to meet community needs and address societal challenges.

As we recognize Vocational Awareness Month, let us reflect on how our professional talents can make a meaningful difference—both in our workplaces and in the communities we serve.
