KLTV Meteorologist

Andrew is a member of the First Alert Weather Team.

Meteorologist Andrew Tate has been with KLTV and KTRE since January 2021. Before coming to East Texas, Andrew was a weather producer and traffic helicopter photographer at KXAS in Dallas-Ft. Worth; additionally, Andrew was a part-time forecaster at KTEN in Sherman-Denison.

A 2019 graduate of the University of North Texas, Andrew majored in broadcast media and also took his introductory meteorology courses while at UNT. He has also completed Mississippi State University’s Broadcast and Operational Meteorology Program, becoming a certified meteorologist in August 2024.
