As we enter the joyful season of December, I’m reminded of the warmth, generosity, and spirit of service that define our club. This month, Rotary celebrates Disease Prevention and Treatment Month, highlighting the incredible impact we can have when we come together to improve health in our community and beyond. I am personally grateful for Rotary's efforts to eradicate Polio, with multiple family connections.
I’m excited to invite you—and encourage you to bring guests—to our December 1st meeting, where we will proudly present our grant to the University of Texas at Tyler (UTT). This grant supports vital initiatives that advance healthcare access and disease prevention in East Texas, directly reflecting our commitment to making a lasting difference. This is a great opportunity to invite previous club members who helped build our foundation.
As we gather this month, let’s also embrace the holiday season. Whether it’s through small acts of kindness, festive fellowship, or giving back to those in need, this is a wonderful time to reflect on the joy of service and the connections that make our Rotary family so special.
I look forward to seeing you on December 1st—let’s celebrate our accomplishments, welcome new faces, and spread some holiday cheer together!
Yours in Service,
Alex
Reminder! Join us tomorrow at noon at First Christian Church as we welcome Dr. Julie Philley from UT Tyler for the presentation of the South Tyler Rotary Foundation’s gift to the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
We look forward to seeing everyone there!
We still need volunteers for the Rose City ROTARY Christmas Parade to help make this a successful event!
Please reach out to Holly Lewis, tylerrotaryaa@outlook.com or cell 903.714.4472 to sign up to serve. For more information about the parade visit the parade website.
There will be a special training following the Bike Build

Let's Celebrate the holidays together on Saturday, December 6th at Javi's from 3-5:30pm. Bring a wrapped ornament for an ornament exchange and enjoy time of fellowship with Rotarians and their families.
