Community partnerships impact lives!
On Saturday, May 11th, South Tyler Rotarians and the City of Tyler Fire Department gathered to install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in Meals on Wheels clients’ homes in and in PATH People Attempting to Help Transitional Housing properties.
South Tyler Rotary submitted a grant application for a Club Project Grant from Rotary International District 5830. The South Tyler Rotary Foundation provided the matching funds to purchase 250 dual, 10 year smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Teams of Rotarians, Volunteers and Fire Department Staff spread out over Tyler to install these units for those who might not have this valuable life saving device in their homes.
